Connie Schultz, wife of Sherrod Brown (candidate for U.S.
Senate), met Democrats at Kissner's Restaurant on
Thursday, July 20, to energize the base. A prize-winning
columnist for the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, Schultz is on
leave to campaign.
A few dozen Democrats gathered at the home of Revs. David
and Sharon Plant to meet and converse with the charming
Frances Strickland on her third and last stop of the day
in as many counties.
Memorial Ceremony honoring fallen soldiers in ongoing war
On Sunday, November 13, 2005, from 2-5 p.m., a ceremony
honoring fallen soldiers in the U.S. war on Iraq was held
at Archbold Memorial Park, Archbold OH.
A wonderful afternoon in the beautiful, historic Nazareth
Hall, on River Rd., Grand Rapids. Highlight was the
entertaining musical satire "The Billionaires are in the
House," with a dozen talented actors and beautiful piano
accompaniment of pianist Michael Pezlikis.
There was excitement in the air as people gathered during
the Meet & Greet period before the dinner and subsequent
speeches. Chairs of the Democratic Party from many Ohio
Counties were on hand, and in addition to our local
candidates, there were six statewide candidates.
